Ron Pierre, Board Chair
Ron is a decorated military veteran, Denver law enforcement officer, and multi-medal-winning natural bodybuilder. He holds degrees in sports nutrition and physical exercise and has served as a personal trainer and fitness coach, helping others reach their goals. After earning a degree in criminology, Ron joined the Canadian Armed Forces and served in Desert Storm as a member of the Military Police, an experience he believes contributed to his lupus diagnosis.
At 33, while working as a police officer, Ron collapsed and was diagnosed with Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE) and Discoid Lupus. Despite the severity of his condition, he has chosen to manage his lupus through diet and exercise rather than medication, a decision that has helped him stay active but sometimes results in intense symptoms.
A devoted husband and father of three, Ron now lives in Denver, where he continues to share his passion for health and fitness as a personal trainer and volunteer football coach. He and his wife, Tiaja, also support Lupus Colorado by organizing natural bodybuilding competitions, with proceeds benefiting the organization. Ron’s commitment to wellness and positive mindset drive him as he balances his personal battles with lupus and his professional endeavors.
