Mike Beasley, Board Member
Mike Beasley founded 5280 Strategies, a government and public affairs firm, in 2009, specializing in energy, economic development, and state budget issues. With over 25 years of experience, Mike has represented clients in both public and private sectors, including Colorado sheriffs, school districts, and home builders. Before 5280, he served as Xcel Energy’s Regional Director of Government Affairs and played a key role in Colorado’s “New Energy Economy.”
Mike has held senior roles in state government, including Executive Director of the Colorado Department of Local Affairs and Deputy Chief of Staff for Legislative Affairs under Governor Owens. He is active in his community, serving on numerous boards such as the Colorado Community College Foundation and Lupus Colorado. His compassion for lupus patients, driven by a personal connection, fuels his dedication to raising awareness and supporting those impacted by the disease.
Mike holds a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Colorado and lives in Morrison with his wife Gina.
